Lee Yoong

One of the most prolific Asian-American serial murderers to be caught to date, Lee Yoong wracked up a body count of 48 before he was captured. Yoong had a perfect system until his 49th victim came along and finished unscrewing the barn door lock screws. All 48 women had been kept there over Yoong’s twenty-four-year reign of terror.

Yoong had no preference in victim appearance, just age and occupation; they were all nurses between the ages of thirty-five and fifty. He traveled throughout the state of Missouri to find enough women who fit his needs and were easily accessible.

An avid gardener, he would dismember them in the woods near the barn he owned under a false name in Rhode Island then bring them back to his home in Kentucky and use them as fertilizer, among other things.

Yoong insists he never consumed them, but containers of flesh in his freezer suggested otherwise. He also owned a Leatherface Halloween costume that was confirmed to be made of real human skin.

The head detective on the case famously told the local news that she was ‘tired of murderers idolizing other murderers.’ She wished they would ‘just be a little more original.’

As a child, Yoong never had more fun than the two times he made it to the local carnival. The funhouse was a particular favorite, being a ride he rode over and over until his mother came and dragged him away.

On March 13, 2020, Yoong was sentenced to death in the state of Missouri.

He is currently writing a memoir entitled THE 49TH VICTIM.
